My kindergarteners come to school daily with a smile on their face and a desire to learn, despite any obstacles and barriers that have been placed in their lives. They are hard working and never cease to amaze me in all that they do!
My kindergarteners are full of energy, love to dance, build, and laugh!
They may be young, but their hearts are big! These students love to share their knowledge and accomplishments with each other. They take pride in doing the right thing, even in tough situations! They enjoy finger painting, smelly markers, extra recess time, and LEGOS! They love getting messy (sorry parents) and using manipulatives while learning. Overall, they are a pretty awesome group making me one very proud teacher. :)
My Project
Who doesn't like to get a little messy sometimes? My students LOVE diving head first into situations that allow them to explore more than one sensory experience at a time. Whether it's searching for letters in a tub of pom pom balls, or digging out the guts of a pumpkin to count the number of seeds; these kids are all in!
These materials will allow my students to engage in multi sensory experiences while simultaneously achieving learning objectives.
The sensory tables will allow my students to take their hands on learning to a whole new level. They will have the opportunity to practice a variety of math and literacy skills while collaborating with their peers and activating multiple parts of their brains.
The magnetic tiles will be added to our STEM materials where their imaginations can go to work creating castles, circus trains, neighborhoods, satined glass windows, designs, and so much more. The possibilities are really endless! I mean have you ever listened to a 5 year old tell a story?! The things they come up with are genius!
