My first-grade students come into the class ready to learn every day. These eager young minds get so excited to see what our plans are going to be when the day begins. They love trying new activities and working together with their peers.
I am fortunate to have opportunity to team-teach and we would love to have this opportunity for our students to learn together.
I teach at a Title 1 Charter School. We are unique in that we are the only Title 1 Charter school in Bay County, Florida. Our school was devastated by Hurricane Michael and we are still recovering.
This project will give my first graders Kindles and Osmo'S for hands on learning. Osmo is this amazing integration of technology and hands on learning. The Osmo provides much needed practice on problem solving skills, spelling, sight words, and math facts.
By adding these materials to my classroom, students would be able to learn through engaging, hands on exploration.
I would use Osmo in student work stations to extend learning concepts, students can work individually or with a partner. Students will learn to think critically, collaborate with their peers and experience learning that will allow them to continue their love of learning.
