Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I am a first grade teacher in a Pre-K through 8th grade school. Most of my students come from low income families. Many of these children face poverty, violence, and obscenities on a daily basis. In spite of all of the negative forces they must face daily, they are all very inquisitive and eager to learn students. My students desire the stability and routine of a healthy school environment. We are engaged in our learning and are striving to become life-long learners.

My students are thinkers, dreamers, and doers.

They love to put on their “thinking caps” and stretch their brains to become the very best learners they can be. It is my desire to give them the tools they need to achieve their goals and realize their dreams.

My Project

My students will be able to learn and grow with these Osmo Genius Kits for our Fire Tablets. These kits provide hands-on learning activities which stimulate problem solving skills and creativity.

My students are always eager to try new things.

Osmo Genius Kits will build academic skills in areas of reading, science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). This kit gives them the opportunity for hands-on learning in five different ways! I cannot wait to see their excitement over new technology for our classroom. Please help me to provide my students this much needed classroom resource.
