My Students

Before Thanksgiving Break I asked my students what they were thankful for. Besides family and friends, they told me they were thankful for school and each other. My students are an enthusiastic bunch of 2nd graders who enjoy learning, even from afar. I am thankful to them for showing up everyday to our 100% distance learning classroom.

My Project

Our students are starting an exciting unit on fossils! We are currently learning about paleontologists and will soon be learning about what fossils are, how they are made, and what they can tell us about the past.

Students will get a hands-on learning experience, excavating their very own fossils!

Just like paleontologists, they will get to record information about their dig sites. The requested kit consists of fossil bearing mounds, excavation tools, and reference materials about fossils.

This fossil dig will be the highlight of our unit. Thank you for helping our keikis' minds grow deeper and expand in knowledge through fun, hands-on, interactive learning!
