Students who engage in hands-on learning on a weekly basis outperform those who engage in this manner of instruction on a monthly basis.-Educational Testing Service 2001
My students are beginning their educational careers.
They are bright and eager to learn everything they can during our time together. We have twenty-two Kindergarten students in our class. We are located in a small rural town in Southwest Ohio. We have a very diverse group of students in our classroom who are learning more everyday. They are thrilled to be at school!
My Project
My students will use the rhyming houses, counting dough mats and sorting houses daily, in our stations time. During our stations time, students rotate to different activities to increase their knowledge and use of letters and numbers. By getting these resources, students will be able to practice many different types of activities with letters, sounds, numbers, addition and subtraction.
This project will make a huge difference in how my students participate in our stations time.
These materials will be engaging and interactive for the students. By creating an environment where my students are engaged and interacting with the content, they will become enthusiastic learners and expert readers!
