Help me give my students an X-ACTO Crayon Pro Electric Crayon Sharpener so my students old crayons can be bought back to life and, and reused in the classroom.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
Being a Kindergarten teacher means keeping students engaged while learning. I would describe myself as an "old school" teacher because I enjoy seeing my student using their five senses to discover the world around them.
I do appreciate technology, however, I feel younger students need to have access to crayons, toys, and games that support brain development and fine motor skills to support their academic success.
I was inspired to write this project because I want my students to work on their fine motor skills, socical skills, and brain development through hands on learning during whole group instruction and work station time in my classroom.
I am requesting Ticonderoga My First Tri-Write Wood-Cased Pencils, Crayola Mini Colored Pencils, and Short Fat Pencils for Kids to support early handwriting skills. I have noticed students are entering kindergarten unable to hold tradtional pencils properly. These writing tools will support proper finger grip and help with letter formation. Additionally, I am requesting Translucent Letter Builders, Peg Number Boards, and Easy-Grip Jumbo Pegs Pegboard Set so my students can work on fine motor skills through out the school year. Children need time and resources to develop these skills, and I feel these resources will help them excel in their academics as the school year progresses.
Finally, I am requesting some snacks for my students to give as rewards for their hard work.
