Help me give my students snap together letter blocks, twist and turn word builders, and other educational manipulatives that will support their learning in the classroom!
I have a great group of 24 kindergarteners who are eager to learn. My students especially enjoy hands-on and engaging activities, which they will remember far beyond the classroom. Throughout the day, the students visit many different learning centers that assist them in practicing the different skills needed in order to be successful in kindergarten.
All of my students are unique in their own way.
Because of this, I find it so important to approach learning from a variety of perspectives. My students seem to learn best through using manipulatives and concrete objects. My goal as an educator is to provide rich learning experiences which will meet the needs of all learners in my classroom.
My Project
The materials listed in this project will allow students to practice essential math and literacy skills through hands-on learning. Materials such as the snap together letter blocks and crayon word building center, will encourage students to explore letter recognition and basic phonics skills. Additionally, the leapfrog scribble and write, along with the lakeshore magnetic board will assist students with letter formation and handwriting practice.
Not only will these materials support students in the areas of math and literacy, they will also inspire children to think creatively and collaboratively through play.
For example, the treehouse imagination builders set will allow students to work and play together in an imaginative setting.
