Help me give my students items such as mental blocks, color cubes, and gears to enhance hands-on learning in our classroom. We use these tools in so many ways in kindergarten.
I have 17 energetic kindergarten students in my classroom. My students are full of questions and eager to learn new things! Our school is located in a small rural area in Alabama. We have over 300 students and we are a Title I school due to the percent of students that receive free and/or reduced lunch.
Our school mission is to empower learners, inspire leaders, and encourage all children to reach their full potential.
We teach leadership skills at our school and are a Leader in Me Lighthouse school.
My Project
In kindergarten students use materials such as mental blocks, cubes, design builders, and gears to help enhance their fine motor skills. The materials that we are requesting in our classroom will help students explore and build their fine motor skills. This will also help challenge their thinking by challenging them to build different structures they are presented with on the cards provided.
We use mental blocks, cubes, design builders, and gears daily to help build, create, and design new structures.
The items requested which include the following: mental blocks, cubes, and gears, will help us in providing more options for students to use to build and create new designs. This will also help them work on balancing the blocks on one another to create a steady display.
