Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are absolutely amazing and come in every morning with a smile. They have a desire to learn and grow everyday.
I work at a diverse Title 1 Elementary school in Maryland.
A majority of my students are English Language Learners and come from low-income families. My heart absolutely belongs to Kindergarten and I love being the first teacher that my students have in school. They truly inspire me everyday to be the best I can be for them.
My Project
I’m looking for new ways to encourage my students love for learning through hands-on engagement! My classroom needs some new manipulatives for both literacy and mathematics! We use manipulatives for learning throughout the day during literacy centers and math workshops. Having teaching tools to engage students in hands-on-learning is so important to me. My students would love new games, puzzles, and manipulatives to use in our classroom. I would love to engage students in hands-on-learning based on my students interest this year. My students would be so excited to receive new puzzles and games! The benefits manipulatives offer in teaching and learning are amazing!
