My students are 100 children in 2nd grade, of whom over 70% live near the poverty line, almost 50% speak another language at home, and all need creative ways of learning.
These children are enthusiastic when they are engaged, so nothing works better to help them learn than learning games and vocabulary cards to help them manipulate information and share in their learning with classmates. They have already benefited so much from my laminator and the high-quality materials it can produce, so this supply refill is necessary for me to keep up the good work and for them to keep up the amazing inquiry!
My Project
These laminator sheets will produce quality learning aids for over 100 students, helping to improve their vocabulary and grammar in English through fun and interaction. Already, students delighted in a food unit which incorporated quality photos of the vocabulary which we used to prompt discussion, organize their ideas before speaking, and to aid with their spelling and oral expression.
This project is so important because it will provide my students with the quality of learning aids that they deserve.
It will also preserve these materials so that more of my time can be spent directly addressing their needs and not in the yearly creation of new games and flashcards after flimsy ones are so easily destroyed. Donations will be greatly appreciation by my students and they will show it with their smiles, laughter, and academic advancement!
