My students need new STEM items. After 5 years in the same classroom, we need some refreshing! A minimum of 150 hands have played with our toys and used our manipulatives.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
All 30 of my students are amazing!
The kiddos in my class are eager to learn, and want to be a part of our classroom family.
They come to school ready to work hard, and to be a part of something important. Their learning makes a difference each and every day.
The majority of my students, come from lower-income neighborhoods, and qualify for free, or reduced lunches. Many are from single parent households and have multiple siblings. Each of my parents contributes to our classroom in the best way that they know how to, and can.
My Project
Preschool students learn best by doing! We need new math, science and engineering toys to refresh our classroom. Our toys are a half-decade old and have become very well worn, from being very well loved. With these new items, we will be able to conduct experiments, look at various life cycles, create things using our hands, collect bugs, work with magnets, grow seeds and much more! Hands on learning produces critical thinkers, a life-long needed skill. With these new items, our kiddos can explore, move around, interact with their peers and learn by doing, rather than by listening - encouraging their independence and curiosity.
