My students come from rural homes and all receive free lunch. Some of my students have never been to school until this year. They like to find out and learn new things. They are learning all the basic skills, including social skills.
My students are eager to learn new things.
My students need new books to use in our classroom. We use the books in our library. We use them for our daily read-alouds. New books will help provide my students with some great knowledge.
My Project
These materials are set up in theme boxes for the students to use and explore in my classroom. The boxes are filled with materials about different weekly themes. The books go along with the boxes to provide read-alouds. Students will be able to explore each box to utilize the different materials in them. Each box contains items around each theme. For example, Food and Nutrition: it contains 5 books, food from the various food groups, nutritional guides, shopping lists, grocery baskets, and other useful materials. Each box is set up for the students to use and learn more about the theme.
