My Students

A typical day in our science classroom involves the use of technology and hands-on materials to make learning more concrete.

The students in my classroom are typical inquisitive fourth graders.

They enjoy anything that involves an experiment or real life example to what we are studying. We don't have a lot of materials in our room due to a change over of teachers and would really benefit from these items. We are a small rural school in Ohio.

My Project

One of our standards includes knowing the characteristics of the earths surface. Students will use the books to see real life examples. My students need a stream table and materials such as sand and playdoh for hands-on learning about landforms. The sand and other materials to help them see how these landforms are formed. The stream table will give them a hands-on learning activity with landforms and how erosion and weathering affect landforms.

We do not have a lot of materials to use in our room due to teacher changeover.

A science classroom comes to life when there are experiments and hands-on learning. Being able to purchase these items would help,our classroom come to life!
