I am very excited to be moving up a grade to teach Kindergarten! I feel very strongly that inclusion models are so beneficial to all students! I cannot wait to teach Kindergarten and want my students to have the best experience ever! We serve students ranging in development and many of our students benefit from receiving special education services. We work hard to create opportunities for all of our students to communicate effectively with one another, develop positive social skills, grow and learn all while engaged in meaningful learning by using hands on materials. Children in this program need additional supplies to help us provide them with hands on play to learn in math, science and technology. We also need supplies to continue to make and create visuals that are durable for the communication needs of our children.
With your help, I can use these materials to improve the social emotional, academic, reading, math and language skills of my students. Providing my students with materials that are hands on are key to early learning! With the new multicultural floor puzzle I will give my students the ability to see themselves in our classroom. My class is diverse in ethnicity and language learning so having “hello”in different languages on the puzzle will be a fun way to promote language and cultural awareness! The sight word puzzles will help with hands on reading instruction as will the play dough stampers. As a Leader in Me School, I want to include more time to talk and use positive social and leadership skills; the conversation starter kit will enhance our group times and also compliment our use of Kagan Structures. Thanks for your support!
