Hands-On History

My students need glue sticks, construction paper, and a cartridge for our printer to demonstrate their creativity and hand-on learning. Students also need an updated map of Presidents of the United States and inflatable globes.

My Students

My students are from a rural community school district and are active, engaged learners who are ready to actively learn about the wide world around them. While my students are in middle school, they are still young teens that still require a great deal of movement in the classroom.

My star students are seventh graders from a rural farming community.

Unfortunately, since we are a rural area, our funding opportunities are limited. However, that does not deter my students' drive to learn and explore the great world around them.

My Project

Hands-on learning is the best way to learn history. My students need consumables like construction paper and glue sticks to help bring their creativity to life. They also need a printer cartridge for our classroom printer to print out their work. In order to keep up with history, my class also needs an updated poster of the Presidents of the United States. Finally, my class needs inflatable globes. In 7th grade, we learn about the global world, including the locations of places around the world. An inflatable globe will allow each student to handle the globe while learning about hemispheres, longitude, latitude, while relating it to places.
