Help me give my students resources from TpT, as well as items for fun hands-on learning at home, including dry erase supplies and markers, during this time of virtual learning.
I teach in a high poverty/low-income area with a high population of English Language Learners (ELLs). This year I will have about twenty students in my first-grade class with the potential to grow. These boys and girls love coming to school each day and seeing what new and exciting activities are in store for the new day ahead.
I want to be able to provide my students with the resources and activities that they need in order to be successful - even in a virtual environment.
Living in a rural area, access to resources in the community is often difficult. Our local public library is not easily accessible by many of my students and their families. We do not have stores readily available to purchase needed supplies for projects. I want to give my students access to what they need for a fun-filled first-grade year!
My Project
With these materials, I will be able to put together kits for at-home learning for my students. During this time of virtual learning and teaching, it is still imperative that first graders are able to use their hands to build muscles, fine motor skills and the art of writing. We have enjoyed using binders, sheet protectors and dry erase markers for some interactive learning activities, and we need more of these items.
Since we have now gone fully virtually, digital teaching and learning materials from Teachers Pay Teachers will allow more interactive learning.
