Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The students in my class are excited to come to school to learn everyday. They are curious about science and eager to learn how to read. They are kind to others and respectful of our classroom materials. They will take great care of new classroom materials. Our school is 92% economically disadvantaged and 79% English Language Learners. My class is very diverse, including students from around the world, students receiving special education, gifted and talented students, and those learning English as a second language. My sweet students will be so excited for these new learning materials. Thank you in advance for impacting my students' educational journey.
My Project
My students love having the opportunity to explore in our learning centers. They are able to follow their interests and delve deeper into certain subjects. However, our classroom is in need of more hands-on materials. With this project, students will have objects for sorting in math, sensory materials for developing their fine motor skills, letter matching activities, and much more.
Our literacy center will soon be updated with hands-on manipulatives that encourage language and literacy development.
In science, they will receive goggles to practice safety during experiments and hand lenses to explore nature and record information like a scientist.
They will look forward to learning with these materials every day.
