Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach a Career Technical Education Agriculture Pathway class that allows students to learn how chemistry and science are connected to the environment and agriculture. The majority of my students are minorities from low income neighborhoods, but overall they are just kids who enjoy learning.

My Project

By funding this project students will be able to get the hands-on learning they love and get to experience Chemistry in a variety of ways. Through the use of model kits, students can build different molecules while learning about chemical bonding and reactions, the liquid chalk markers give students a different way to learn by being able to write down thoughts and ideas on the table, the element cube set will allow students to see what different type of elements look and feel like as well as how they are similar and different.
