My Students

"We're kinda like a family, aren't we?" Walk into our hallway, and you will immediately feel the love and sense of community there. Our kiddos know they are safe and welcome and come to school every day with an excitement that is contagious. They work hard at everything they do and never give up no matter what we throw at them.

Our kids deserve every opportunity we can give them.

We have a very motivated group of kids who are willing to try anything. There are so many experiences we want these kids to have because they deserve it more than anyone else in the world. We just need the tools to do it.

My Project

In our classroom, we have a variety of learning types but one thing everyone has in common is they love doing hands-on learning. With COVID, it has become more challenging to be hands-on in math because we have to share materials. This means lots of handwashing and sanitizing needs to happen in between every math lesson in order for me to keep my kids healthy.

The individual math tool kits will allow me to provide each of my students with the hands-on materials they need while also helping us prevent the spread of COVID by allowing each student to have a designated set of math tools!

It will also help increase their understanding and engagement in my math lessons which are vital in creating the mathematicians needed in today's world.
