My Students

I work in a low-income school with a group of active kindergartners. The students are not only actively learning, but they are also active physically in the classroom. I am always looking for productive ways to help my students use their abundance of energy in the classroom while still being successful.

I am always seeking items that are useful in helping me create meaningful independent centers to help my students be successful.

My students are hard workers, but need items and activities to help keep them focused to continue their learning, daily, in the classroom. This is especially true during small group time where they are working independently.

My Project

My students, this year, are really struggling with letter recognition, and those that know their letters are struggling to be able to do anything with them such as sounding out CVC words and spelling sight words. The requested manipulatives, such as the letter beads and letter stampers can be used in independent centers for some to spell their sight words or for others to practice spelling their names or CVC words.

These items will be able to be used in independent centers and can help to differentiate instruction for my students.

All of these items can be used independently or in a small group setting to help all of my students be successful.
