Help me give my students hands on learning activities to increase their knowledge of basic reading skills. This will give them a good foundation on which to build.
The students I work with are some of the sweetest, caring and fun-loving children. They are eager to learn and willing to try something new. Their disabilities range from mild to severe. I work with students from PR-K to 12th grade.
Many of these students just can't sit still!
They have a hard time focusing on paperwork and comprehending the lesson. Many of these students will focus and comprehend if they have an activity that moves with them.
Having fun while learning will help students focus and comprehend the lesson. It will also reinforce what is being taught in the regular classroom.
My Project
This project will allow our resource room provide different ways of learning that the regular classroom doesn't have time to implement.
These products will also help with eye/hand coordination, and strengthening hand muscles to help grip a pencil correctly.
With these games the students will be able to move around to different centers and enjoy the freedom of making their own choices. We will be learning the Alphabet and sounds each letter makes. Also how to write each lowercase and upper case letter. The rubbing plates and stampers will allow students to see the letters in different types of print. The students are always excited to see new projects.
