My little scholars- I like to call them my Monkeys-are always eager and excited to learn new concepts. Their brains are like little sponges ready to soak as much knowledge and information as they can.

I think in early childhood education social skills and building a character is significant in order to have a successful experience with learning. In our class developing social skills involves learning the values, knowledge, and skills that enable scholars to relate to others effectively and to contribute in positive ways to family, school and the community.
My Project
I am teaching Kindergarten for so many years and I noticed that we push more and more formal academics at earlier and earlier ages. I've seen hands-on learning being devalued and minimized. While knowledgeable early childhood educators understand how valuable it is, many who have the decision-making power do not.
If you've ever watched children at play, you know they're fascinated with building things-and with taking things apart to see how they work.
Children are natural-born engineers. I decided to order magnetic gear, float alphabet bubbles and some math games to help my scholars understand how math and science are relevant to their lives.
