Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are a very diverse group. Many of my students are English Language Learners who need the opportunity grow academically through hands on projects.
Our school is a close knit school with students who try their best and I welcome any materials that further my students learning experiences.
With the right materials, I believe my students will excel in their understanding of math and science assignments.
My students are sixth graders who are about to enter the life of young adulthood, and they should be equipped with the right materials to help them succeed in their academic lives.
My Project
The math and science materials will further my students' understanding of how things work in the classroom and the real world. The graph paper will help students design and complete geometry and graphing assignments. The books on the Tales of Invention will help my students connect with scientists and the world of science. The geometry games will offer a fun way to introduce geometry, so my students can become more involved in their lessons.
My students need to have the chance to work with hands on projects and also have the reading materials to help them understand the reasons for their lessons.
Geometry is a requirement in sixth grade and the materials which included the glue guns will help my students build Geo cities. The students will be able to learn through building Geo cities and understand why geometry is important in our everyday lives.
