This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
These are unprecedented times. Never did I imagine that when my students and I said goodbye in March it would mean that it was our last day in the classroom. However, the year is not over yet!
As we have embarked on this adventure of distance learning I have never been more impressed by the durability, creativity and perseverance of my students and their parents.
The students in my classroom are all lower functioning kiddos with Autism from inner city Bridgeport. What does that mean for distant learning? We do individual lessons for each student everyday. I have to be creative to be able to implement activities that will engage them in learning and not TV. This does not come easily and I could never do it without the continuous hard work from their parents! The resources at home are limited for these students and they could use your help!
My Project
Please help me give my students learning materials for home and distance learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Students are not able to leave their homes due to the quarantine in Connecticut. My student needs a variety of materials to be able to complete hands on activities at home.
Right now my students are struggling with keeping a routine, maintaining what they have already learning and continuing to learn more.
The students need your help with that! This project will allow for the students to have access to materials that they normally have at school and continue to succeed!
