My Project
The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students already have a "home." In other words, I know exactly where everything will go and how it will be used. We just need your help in getting everything through our door! In our classroom we have implemented a new work system using 3-Drawer Rolling Storage Cart for students to know how much work is to be done and what to do when it is finished. Also other materials that is needed for work is Sticky Back Coins Hook & Loop Self Adhesive Dots, Low-Odor Dry Erase Markers, Thermal Laminating Pouches, and File Folders allow me to make task specifically for all of my students and differentiate their work to fit their needs. By using Educational Insights Fluorescent Light Filters on some of the lights in our classroom it will allow our students to work at a more calming environment. Also in our classroom we need to add more sensory items to meet all students needs. During morning meeting and group time students will use SoftZone Floor Cushions with Handles to designate their area to sit and mark their boundary to know where to stay. For quiet time we will use the Calming Autism Ocean-Wave Aurora Projector to take time out of our busy day and relax. During our sensory breaks throughout the day students can choose from Senseez Calming Cushion, Vibrating Tube, Sensory Sox Body Socks, and sensory fidgets to meet their sensory needs. I have seen how choice can positively affect my students work and demeanor and hope that the additional options will help us grow even more!
