We pride ourselves in showing great character in and out of our classroom. My class of first graders are eager and energetic about being technology experts in the classroom! We are Jr. Panthers! Our 'Just Be Jersey' theme is seen in our district and within the community loud and proud! We have students from smaller outlying towns that come to our building for Pre-K through 1st grade. We are a Jr. Panther team, and it takes that teamwork to keep our classroom engaging and enthusiastic. To keep the momentum strong in our classroom we are looking for an iPad and Osmo to build technology experts in our classroom.
My Project
My students enjoy working together during our technology time, however, we are lacking tools to make this experience more meaningful for all of our diverse learners and learning styles. We currently have a fire tablet, but do not have the means to make it as interactive with our first grade students.
The Osmo for Kindle Fire and Osmo for iPad will provide students the ability to partner and work together to solve math and literacy challenges.
With these new tools, students can partner together at our rug, the table, or a comfy spot on the floor to share learning experiences, problem solve and become the ‘experts’. In addition, not only can the iPad be utilized for the Osmo, but students can learn how to bring artwork and their writing to life with apps provided only through iPad users.
