My students need an iPad to do all the things that will make them successful in this 21st century learning environment including reading, writing, communication and exploration!
Learning by doing is how my students learn best. They are encouraged to cultivate their own learning by researching, asking questions and working together to learn about the world both near and far away.
My students are encouraged to "get their hands dirty" and discover new things in the world around them.
Over the years, I've observed my students digging deeper into technology and incorporating it into their daily lives. They love using these devices not only for leisurely games, but also for learning!
My Project
The students in my class will be able to use the iPads in multiple areas, such as language arts, science, math and social studies. In addition, they will be able to use Osmo, which gets them thinking outside the box and will encourage creativity. My students will use the pen to practice not only penmanship, but useful writing skills such as paragraph writing and communication with others around the world. Using an iPad will assist my students in becoming familiar with technology and how to integrate it into their daily lives. By incorporating iPads in the classroom, the students will be able to use it as a resource for learning and exploration!
