Help my students become more than a statistic. The children in my class come from struggling homes in a low-income community in Baltimore City, Maryland. Almost the entire population receives a free or reduced-price lunch. About 30% are English language learners from a variety of places around the world. My students are active, eager, and smart in their own ways. They know about injustice, bias, and trauma, because they have lived already challenging lives.
My Project
Benefits for my Students include: Increased self esteem, increased academic achievement, increased Physical Fitness, increased Hand/Eye Coordination, increased levels of concentration, improves reading scores and cross patterning brain development.
