My Students

I have recently moved schools and am now teaching at a small rural Title I school in central North Dakota. As of right now I will have fifteen first graders in my class.

Even though we are a small school, I try my best to provide our students the best education possible.

It is my goal to see that each and every student that enters my classroom leaves at the end of the year having learned all they can--both academically and socially.

My Project

For the last two years, I have had my students hand their assignments into drawers in a wheeled cart with drawers. However, the drawers are flimsy, and over the years, they have gotten a little harder to use. They often fall off the tracks, or they get pushed too far in and the students struggle to get them out.

As I was thinking about how I could solve this problem, I came across a teacher who used the metal carts I am requesting as a way for students to turn their work in.

Not only do they not require any drawers, but they match our classroom theme much better, so it will look nicer, too!
