My students need headphones and wireless mouse to improve reading skills. The label maker is to label all devices, the boxes are to store all of these new products.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
A quote I love is “We can make everyday better for each other. If we’re all on the same team, let’s start acting like it. We’ve got work to do. We can cry about it or we can dance about it.” – Kid President.
I try to be a optimistic teacher regardless of the school and population that attends.
A challenge that I face is the socioeconomic backgrounds in which my students come from.
They struggle to get to school on time and to attend daily as well as moving schools and districts often. Therefore there are holes in their learning and they need a great deal of one on one individualized instruction. Small groups and reading programs assist with this dramatically since it is specific and guided learning based on their needs. regardless of their backgrounds they look for a positive classroom environment and love to be praised for even small achievements. My school has a positive atmosphere and the teachers work well together and constantly collaborate to ensure that we are reaching everyone. We expect our students to come to school and work hard and always give their best effort.
My Project
The materials that I am requesting will assist with my students with the technology that we currently have in the classroom. We have individual ACER laptops and many programs that are purchased through the district. These programs read to students and help them pronounce words correctly and help build vocabulary and comprehension skills. The math programs are also individualized based on skill level. these programs require sound and I currently work with students keeping the volume as low as they can to hear but trying not to be too loud to disturb others. The headphones will alleviate this burden. The mouse will assist with navigating though programs much easier than the small keypad that the laptop has. The label maker is to organize all new items by student number to ensure I have all materials and that students feel that they have their own personal items. the magnetic boxes is a neat way to store both the headphones and mouse and they will stick to each individual students desk.
I hope that by the end of this school year that each students will be able to bring up their reading and math scores by at least one grade level.
I know that with these extra materials the programs that are already provided can be even more effective is helping achieve this goal.
