My Students
Each and every student at our school is a wonder! Our school is an amazing place filled with extraordinary students. Our students come to us from many backgrounds, many cultures, many religions, and have a multitude of abilities. That is what makes our school amazing...our differences. Our school will be participating in a week long campaign to promote kindness and acceptance, and we would love to provide each teacher with a mentor text to share this message with their class.
My Project
Every student wants to be treated kindly and accepted for who they are. With all the negativity we see on the news, in the papers, and on social media, we want to make a change by arming our students with stories of kindness and love. We want our students to know that they can be the difference by simple acts of kindness.
We're All Wonders by RJ Palacio and Wishtree by Katherine Applegate are two amazing stories that promote this incredibly important message.
Our goal is to put a copy of each of these books in all 35 classrooms of our school. With your help, our students will hear the stories that remind them to choose kind and be accepting of all. These beautifully written and illustrated books are a perfect addition to our classrooms' libraries.
