My Students

I work with an amazing group of students in my Physical Education program with sections in 6th, 7th and 8th grade. My students are very diverse and come from many different backgrounds. Many of my students have very limited resources and are on the free or reduced lunch program. They also do not have much opportunity for being active outside of school due to financial issues. I want to give my students as many opportunities as possible at school for them to engage in lifetime activities!

My Project

Sadly, we lack the safety equipment needed to allow the H. Bike Club to take place. With safety being our number one concern, I had to dispose of our helmets at the end of the last school year because they were at the 5 year mark. It is most kids dream to be able to ride a bike and also my dream for them to enjoy this lifetime activity! I want my students to feel confident in participating in this club and will provide a safe place for it to take place. Please help my students get the safety equipment they deserve!
