Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students range in age from 4 to 12 years old and live in a Boston neighborhood. I teach Physical Education, therefore I see the whole student body every week! All of my students have a lot of energy and are eager to learn about health and fitness!

My whole lifestyle revolves around being physically active and healthy.

I couldn't be any more excited to share my passion with my students. My goal is to provide every student with the knowledge of how to live a healthy and fit life!

My Project

Help me give my students a gymnastics unit! This balance beam and mini trampoline will be used to help them improve their balance and coordination.

Also, help me give my students a muscular and skeletal system poster so they can see the muscles they are using when doing different fitness activities all throughout the school year.

These students are learning to master body control movements and are very interested in knowing which muscles and bones are being used. I think a gymnastics unit will be perfect for them because gymnastics is all bodyweight movements and skills. And the posters will go along with helping them understand how their body is going through these movements.
