My students need mats for their motor lab to keep them safe on the hard tile floor.

Hooray! This project is fully funded
I teach 10 autism students ranging in age from kindergarten through fourth grade. My students were all impacted by Hurricane Harvey in devastating fashion. Most of their homes flooded or had standing water.
My autism students thrive on routine and structure and Harvey impacted their routines at home.
I'm hoping creating projects here on DonorsChoose.org will help them feel more comfortable in the school setting and help me as their teacher create that comfortable classroom environment to meet their needs.
My students are all autistic. Every day we go to the motor lab and rides bikes, play in the ball pit, and swing. My students like to play and crawl on the floor while in the motor lab to help build gross motor skills.
Our school lacks a playground to enhance gross motor development.
The more motor lab equipment we can get for my autism students the more gross motor skills they will acquire. With your help purchasing this mat, we can build the coordination, gross motor skill and balance my autism students are capable of attaining.
