My Students

Our students are athletic and active learners. They love working with their classmates to achieve a goal. They come into school with smiles and are eager to learn each and every day. They strive for greatness and are willing to become a better student and individual. Their families don't have the funds to constantly give to the school for funds for more sports to be played.

My Project

These gym mats will be so useful in my classes for various units and activities. They can be used in the fitness unit, playing battleship, holiday activities, and kickball games. Students have been doing their sit ups, push ups, and bikes on the hardwood floor and having these mats will give their backs comfort. Also, they will be much softer than the floor. I can introduce students to a new game called battleship with the mats to make their ship so they understand where they should be on the court. Instead of a regular kickball game, I can use the mats to play a game called map ball, which will incorporate more students into playing.
