This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Today the guitar is the most popular instrument in the world. Our school has a music program but not enough instruments. One more guitar would really open doors for opportunity; not only for one child but for other children every year.
My elementary students are always excited and highly self motivated when playing instruments; they never want to leave the music room.
They attend a public school of high poverty in Texas. Students are always rotated on instruments due to the shortage. One more guitar would give so many students the opportunity to play.
My Project
Today it is a proved fact that schools with fine arts perform better across all subjects. These resources will provide more opportunities for students by maximizing instructional time, improve technique, and giving them a chance to serenade. Serenades are a tradition in their culture. Students will learn authentic musicianship and develop in artistry. These resources are an incentive to music and academics.
You donations to this request will truly make a difference.
Without theses resource, students will never be ready for a performance or a serenade. The impact for children is always a life learning experience. With your help these students will have the best music experience; students will be making music.
