My students love music! My primary music classroom is a place where students have the chance to sing, dance, move creatively, and have their minds opened to the wonderful world of music each week. It is my joy to teach children the fundamentals of music so that, if they choose to, they will have a solid foundation to build upon for future singing or instrumental endeavors.
I serve in a district that values the arts highly, so I take my job of introducing young students to the wonders of music very seriously.
Please consider helping me fill my music classroom with amazing resources for the kids to have fun with and to help me lay an excellent foundation for their future music endeavors.
Our primary music classroom is a place for lots of singing, dancing, creatively moving, and playing instruments. We do a lot of world folk music singing each and every day.
I am requesting a year's worth of guitar strings for our classroom teacher guitar.
These are good, loud strings that will help us sing together to world folk music selections. The guitar is the perfect instrument for our songs because it doesn't overpower the students and it provides some chordal harmony to our melody singing. We sing 4-5 songs per music class that are folk selections from all over the world, so strings wear down on my teacher guitar pretty quickly. At 6 classes per day, that's 30 folk songs, each repeated multiple times per class...so hundreds of songs per day!!
This is a pretty simple project: just necessary strings for a constantly used classroom instrument. Thank you for your consideration.
