Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

The students at ZCS are absolutely brilliant and amazing! They are extremely creative and innovative, and they truly love the STEAM aspect of our school.

The students our school are also avid readers, and they need a book room to select books at their individual reading levels.

Having a new selection of books that are leveled will help the educators at our school to better cater their instruction to meet the individual needs of the learners in their respective classrooms.

My Project

Having these materials will help all of the educators in my building to have non-fiction book titles to cater to the needs of the readers in their classrooms. This is just a start...but the books will be used on a daily basis in guided reading groups. My dream is to continue to build our library through donors choose, so a set of 4 books of the same title, at multiple levels, will be available for the students, and teachers.

These books will be used for small guided reading groups to help our readers grow and blossom into the amazing readers they dream of becoming.
