My students need a First Little Readers leveled library for levels A-C.
My school is a brand new school located in a school closed due to failure. I teach a kindergarten class consisting of predominantly English language learners from West Africa and the Dominican Republic.
Most of my students are immigrants from other countries.
Their parents have brought them to America to make a better life for their families. My students work hard to learn English while also learning reading, writing, math, science, and social studies.
I am requesting a set of First Little Readers leveled library for levels A-C. These books will be used during guided reading with a group of 5 children. During this time children will have small group instruction as they master their first year of reading instruction. These little books have common sight words and pictures that help students to figure out unknown words. They are the perfect addition to any kindergarten library.
This project is important because every student deserves the opportunity to learn how to read.
These books will give them the resources to make this possible. Help me make reading a rewarding experience for all students!
DonorsChoose makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America create classroom project requests, and you can give any amount to the project that inspires you.
