My students need 2 piccolos for the upcoming school year as we grow our instrumental program. We started this school year with 12 students and have grown to 56+ in our marching band within a year.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
As a music educator in a small, rural and low-economic school district I am proud to have dedicated and enthusiastic students that want to be in the band program. This program is in its 3rd year of existence and doesn't have enough equipment to outfit all the students from 5th grade to 11th grade that want to be in the band. We currently have 85 students in the band program at a small 1A school, but can only provide 50 students with instruments to play.
We have the opportunity to have a great future here as long as we have the proper resources to allow the kids to succeed, I have a passion for educating students to be great through music and life, while being a positive male role-model for the students but need the necessary tools in order to do so.
We do have some parents that have gone out and purchased or rented instruments but most can't afford to go that route but still want their children to be allowed to participate in the band.
My Project
These Glory Piccolos will be used by my more advanced flute players in our instrumental program. Primarily for the marching band due to the size of other sections our upper woodwind section isn't being heard. We have 2 very talented students that will be playing these instruments.
We're a small school but a growing program and with that growth comes growing pains, currently, we don't have enough piccolos to outfit the entire section.
By having the 2 piccolos will help our band to refine and perfect our distinguished sound. We thank you for any and all help that you may give.
