I teach 1st grade at a rural school located in North Dakota. Most students know everyone within the school and share a lot of the same interests. We connect the majority of our lessons to the shared experiences the students have.
My students are creative, full of questions, and very energetic.
They love hands-on projects and find ways to take things to the next level. Many of my students do not have the support or resources at home to continue their learning. I want to be able to supply the right tools in my classroom so that each student is able to apply their creative thinking to overcome different challenges.
My Project
Art is a great way for students to express themselves. My students need a variety of art supplies including sand, art bottles, tote bags, canvas, paint and racing car kits. With these materials my students will be able to explore different types of art rather than only paper and coloring. Many students have not experienced art by sand, canvas, wood, or leather.
By donating to this project you will give my students the freedom to express themselves in a variety of ways.
Art is a good way for kids to unwind and express themselves. It also allows them to work with their hands and become inventors in their own projects. students will be able to take charge and create unique projects of their own.
