Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our students are amazing and deserve the best we can give them! Being a school counselor I am able to offer support to all of our students (over 600) who may need extra supports. I am hoping to gain more supplies to help students and teachers in classrooms throughout our school.
Our students come to school ready to learn and amaze us in all that they accomplish.
Our school is not located in the best part of town and most of our students come from homes that struggle financially. They, many times, come to school without the supplies that they need. Some students struggle with changes at home and need the support of our school to help them succeed! We need to do all that we can to help them reach their full potential!
My Project
Being a school counselor I work with over 650 students and their families! I go into classrooms from preschool up to 5th grade! I also meet with small groups and individual students all with very different needs. This requires A LOT of different supports to meet all of their needs. I have found books are a great way to reach many of these students! These books have numerous different topics but they will all help me in supporting our students! Help me to teach them these great lessons through stories and lessons. These kids and their teachers would really appreciate any support you can give them!
