Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My 23 third-graders are a group of smart, enthusiastic students who deserve to have a classroom that fosters their desire to learn!
I work at a Title 1 Elementary school in Lawrence, MA.
Despite challenges faced at home, my students come to school ready to learn and grow. I want to be able to enhance their growing love towards reading and growth as learners and people!
My Project
Thanks to generous donations, our classroom library flourished and students were able to get lost in books and fall in love with characters! We definitely have some classroom favorites! My students are much more motivated readers now with such a broader selection of books. We have been using these books to practice reading skills and build reading stamina.
This new project includes more books from the series they fell in love with as well as some other classroom materials that will help the motivated students continue to learn in my classroom!
