My Students
I moved with most of my students from second grade last year to third grade this year. While they do enjoy the current classroom library in our room, they would love updated titles and more challenging choices to meet the need of their growing reading abilities.
They are looking forward to continuing to share many varied rich book experiences with each other using interesting text appropriate for their individual reading goals.
We are a Title I school, which means families may need extra help with providing reading materials for use at home and school. They would absolutely benefit and love an expanded selection of varied genres with which to learn, grow, and enjoy with each other.
My Project
My students will benefit from the diverse texts. Coming from a second grade level, they need a wider range of engaging books so they can travel through text to gain new experiences. These texts will provide enriching literature for their independent reading enjoyment.
Students absolutely love being able to access varied text that are of interest and relevance to them.
They look forward to being able to use the varied texts both in class and at home as they practice reading skills and demonstrate growth during the school year. They're excited to get started visiting new places, solving new problems, and celebrating successes of people they read about in different text.
