My students need leveled books to practice their reading at home and school. They need to practice their reading strategies, deepen their comprehension, and develop a lifelong love for reading.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Every morning, I am greeted by 25 smiling kindergarten students who are full of energy and are ready to learn! As we walk through the halls to our classroom, they are constantly reading words. Their enthusiasm to learn how to read is remarkable.
My students are so proud of themselves as they learn how to use their 'SUPER POWERS' to decode words.
Also, they are having fun identifying their favorite genres, authors, characters, and topics to read about. My students are growing readers who are building a strong foundation for their future learning.
My Project
My 25 Kindergarten students need more books to read at home and school. In order to develop their lifelong love of reading, students need plenty of books to practice their reading strategies and deepen their comprehension.
Growing readers need access the fiction and nonfiction books at their level.
At school, my students read independently and in small groups daily. At home, my students select books to read with their families and friends. We need more books to promote their interest in learning how to read.
My students are learning how to decode tricky words, recognize sight words, and retell stories in sequential order.
