Help me give my students books. My students need books that are appealing to them and on their level so they may grow their love for reading.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We are a Title I school in a suburban area. Our school is more than 87% economically disadvantaged. Our students face many daily challenges. One of them is the access to books they can read and enjoy.
My students are eager to learn, I love to see their eyes shine every time they learn something new or discover something they had not noticed before.
As teachers in a Title I school, we want to make sure that our students are provided with as many learning opportunities as we possibly can, in and outside the classroom to make up in school what they cannot have at home.
My Project
Reading to children is crucial for their brain and language development. It stimulates their imagination and increases their understanding of the world. Having a variety of books to choose from in the classroom to read with the teacher first and then take them home to enjoy is an excellent practice for students in kindergarten to grow their reading skills. We do not have any books at all, and most of our kids do not have books at home that are at their level. With all that was lost during Harvey, I would like to make sure that my students have books they like to read.
