My students range from Transitional Kindergarten to High School students. We live in a rural community where it is already hard enough to get to school sometimes with dealing with fires, power outages, and snow.
My students love to use their creative minds to show off their work.
If my students, especially the younger ones, really need hands-on materials as the online/distance learning platform is not the greatest for them. The older ones are doing well with it, but they also need some creative outlets and hands-on materials.
I would like to do a plant-based project for all of my students to check in on. I will plant items in the greenhouse that the students request and set up a camera for them to log in to and watch the progress. We will track the progress of the plants.
Each grade level will be able to observe in a more detailed way the older they are.
I have a range of student ages, but this will allow all of my students an opportunity to be part of the same project.
It is spring and the perfect time to plant, so I am hoping that it will encourage some of my students to plant their own gardens and we can compare and contrast.
