My Students

Our school strives to give the students of our small community the best education possible. Each student comes to us with their own strengths and weaknesses, advantages and disadvantages, successes and failures. The students in my class are extremely hard workers who care about their fellow students.

Our students are eager to learn with engaging hands-on projects that help us understand how the world around us works.

We are the only first grade class at our small country school. They all come to school each day ready to learn.

My Project

Our school garden is a wonderful opportunity for our students to activate learning outdoors. The garden has been lying dormant for several years and needs many things to bring it back to life. Both the compost tumbler and irrigation systems will aid in making our garden grow.

The goal of the garden is not just to allow learners to enjoy hands-on learning, but is also a chance to partner with our seventh grade class to enhance community and build social awareness.

Making compost and being able to water our garden, will create an environment for students to grow their own food and to learn how eating fresh vegetable can help them lead healthier lives. They will also learn how to interact with older peers.
