Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are five and six years old kids from different cultures, ethnicities, and social economic groups and are eager to become bilingual, critical thinkers and problem solvers.
They are full of energy, curiosity, questions, and tons of wiggles.
Each morning they enter my room with smiles and are excited to learn something new. As they learn new things, I am able to see the sparkle in their eyes as they build, create, and learn how to read and write.
My Project
While being displaced due to the storm, one of my kiddos favorite time of the day was being able to explore our STEM stations. During the time they would forget about not being in a their own school and would just enjoy the time with their classmates as they challenge their thinking.
My students absolutely love STEM Stations, and I want them to continue growing into problem solvers and critical thinkers.
Being able to introduce more STEM stations in our daily day, they will be able to continue to explored their own thinking. In these stations they will be able to have hands on activities that will challenge their thinking , raise questions within the groups, and have discussion with each other.
