My classroom vision is about empowering students through social/emotional learning that sets the foundation of their mindset and behavior. Our students are problem solvers, curious and social learners. They embrace feeling like they belong and seek after fairness.
The students walk into my room with warm smiles and ready to take on the day's small group objective; they ask questions, share stories and are engaging in social learning skills that are aimed at positive self-growth.
Each child loves the learning community we build in the classroom. With each bringing a unique learning style to the table, we all benefit from learning a new way.
My Project
The materials I am asking for already have big plans! I enjoy and value teaching soft skills of social and emotional learning skills to students. Learning is unable to occur without the right mindset.
Having the Growth Mindset Journal will add more emphasis on our value of Social/Emotional learning and with the Writing Prompt cards will get students not only writing but feeling confident as we share emotions and positive skills.
The high-interest reading packs will add value to our small group reading and with visual organizers already planned for each text, the students will get more practice at their reading goals.
